Pray to live, live to pray.

It can be easy for our prayer life to look more like a drive thru experience than a dwelling place. Pulling up bringing our desires and requests to God, then moving out as quickly as we made our way in. But what if we acknowledge that time in prayer is time spent in God’s presence?

It’s not solely about the words spoken to Him, it is time spent with Him.

And we have the ability to do it continuously.
We need only to make room.

Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

Praying continually may seem like a feat impossible to reach, but ultimately it comes down to showing up and remaining in His presence, rather than walking right through it. Talking to Him throughout the day, sitting in silence with Him, and giving the Holy Spirit room to move in you.

It is living life with God. It’s making Him your dwelling place, not simply a place you visit from time to time.

As we dwell in Him, the fruit of the Spirit dwells in us. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We rejoice and have thankfulness in all circumstances because in remaining in Him we grow rooted in the One who overcame it all.

What circumstance in this world could move you when you’re rooted in the presence of the One who overcame it?

Prayer is not a drive thru, it’s a dwelling place.

Dwell in Him and He will dwell in you.

Abide in Him and He will abide in you.

The fruit you bear is dependent on what you’re rooted in.

Let’s make room for Him

Let’s pray to live and live to pray.
